Sweet is a web-based solution that allows students to bulk apply for scholarships by storing their information, providing key insights to improve their profile, listing all scholarships, and automatically alerting the user of what scholarships they qualify for based on their information provided. Key Insights show 44% of college students receive no scholarships, and 80% of those (6.5 million students) didn’t even apply. The majority of students who do apply, apply for less then ten scholarships. It’s estimated that $100 million in scholarship money goes unclaimed each year!

Amazon Web Service - Back to Campus Campaign

During my time at AWS I had the opportunity to champion the back-to-campus campaign for the entire early-career-talent recruiting team. The problem given to me at the time was that the recruiting team had no experience with in-person events due to COVID, and that recruiters and students alike have little to no understanding of the more niche roles that we hire for, such as Cloud Support Associates or Technical Account Managers. Through months of research, user research with hundreds of students, stakeholder meetings, and 8 rounds of iteration, I was able to deliver successful web pages to detail the back-to-campus strategy (not pictured) as well as digestible job flyers that answered students needs and frustrations from job postings, and ultimately secured my intern return offer with AWS.

KeyPop

KeyPop is a solution aimed at both gatekeeping issues within fandoms and the difficulty to keep up with rapidly changing trends. Key insights from user research (n = 35) included that 50% of respondents believe joining new fandoms is difficult, with 35% of respondents saying it was due to the overwhelming amount of information and 77% saying existing fan behavior was a factor that deterred them from joining new fandoms. KeyPops features include up-to-date timelines, fan reactions, associated trends, background information, and even a community space to make new friends.

BioTrack

Biotrack is a design exercise exploring affective computing and future technologies. Using an implant to collect user biometric data such as nutrients, hormones, heart rate, Biotrack relays insights back to user through an app. To measure success, extensive research, user studies, and wizard-of-oz prototyping was done.

HappyRecycling is an educational website dedicated to promoting sustainable practices and responsible consumption/production to the user. Key insights show that only 35% of people in the U.S. recycle, with 92% of all plastics, 34% of cardboard, and 64% of glass is improperly mislabeled as garbage. By creating an accessible, user-centric and engaging website that teaches users how to identify recyclables I hope to impact climate change in a positive way
